The project „Practical Mathematics in Technical Education and Other Fields“ took place September 2013 – August 2015. The main aims of the project were:
- To improve the skills of mathematics in completing the practical tasks in carpentry
- To integrate the studies of mathematics and carpentry
- To develope attractive practical mathematics study materials
- To encourage students to link mathematics, carpentry and real-life situations in a better way
- To share practical skills and knowledge between the partners
The expected outcome of the project was the development of attractive practical mathematics study materials, in order to encourage integration of the mathematics and professtional studies. The materials focus on carpentry studies.
The co-operation has been successful for all the partners. During the process, besides the outcome of the project, the teachers have improven their ICT skills, partners have strenghten the co-operation, and practical skills, knowledge has been shared between partners. Partners are planning further steps to continue working together.
The study materials developed during the project are uploaded on the project webpage and are available for public usage.

Overview of the project finances, budget management, setting up the documentation, planning the further steps, dividing the responsibilities

Check-up and analysis of the independent work, editing the data collected, dividing the topics of the study materials between partners, planning the further steps

Check-up and analysis of the independent work, discussion of setting up and creation of the website, evaluation of the study materials done, planning the further steps

Testing the study materials – practical workshop for students and teachers in Pärnu, teachers from Tartu Vocational Centre were involved, evaluation of the study materials, planning further steps

The project was granted by EEA & Norway Grants.
